Oh, can I wait for a little more?
Can the longing in my heart
A little more wait?
Before fanning the ember of passion
Deeply rooted in the abysmal depth
Of desire?
Beckoning to the sleeping
Giant of passion into action
Oh, the giant once
Awaken cannot be lulled
Back into sleep again
Awake asleep oh giant
Can I tame this beautiful
Monster?
Can I bridle the behemoth
Beast of desire?
Taming, bridling, curbing
I cannot, but allow the
Sleeping giant lie...

Reminiscene by Isaacola AA
REMINISCENCE
Where is our national pride?
Buried in the dirge
Of years forgotten in timeless time
Oh the glorious years gone by
When there was light continuously
And the shout of up NEPA is forbidden
Amongst the young and old alike
Oh the glorious years will return again
That our uniformed men wears the uniform
With nationalistic pride
That our military and police force
Were a force to reckon with in the comity of nation
That our roads were almost in the class of autobahn
Our airspace was so safe you can sleep all thru the flight
Our hospital were competing with international ones
Our school were prestigious and competitions
Being a graduate is a guarantee for good job
And a thing of pride then
But now our graduates cannot even “spark”
Correct English anymore
Our professionals prefer to rush to pasture greener
Our roads are as safe as hell
Airspace is safer than shark jaw
Education in comatose
Health in decaying state
Roads in unspeakable state
Our political elites are as greedy as hell
Always asking for more and shying away from
Responsibility with abandonment total
Oh that the glory days will return
Where then is our national pride
When all we think is how to outdo
Each other in everything called evil
Devilish and satanic
We take a step forward and two steps backward
We spend trillions to create the double monster of
Book Haram and harem of kidnappers
Police mess is in a ” mess”
Who will deliver my nation from the bondage?
Who will save my people?
Oh that we will all arise
My compatriots to safe the fatherland
